Attention to all Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs)! The long wait is finally over! The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the FMGE 2023 Results for the December Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).

FMGE Key Dates:

  • Result Declaration: February 6, 2024
  • Scorecard Download: Starting from February 13, 2024

How to Check FMGE 2023 Results:

  1. Go to the official NBEMS website: www.natboard.edu.in
  2. Click on the “FMGE” tab.
  3. Choose “December 2023 Result.”
  4. Enter your login details (roll number and date of birth).
  5. Your result will appear on the screen.

Important Things to be Noted:

  • Individual scorecards will be downloadable starting February 13, 2024.
  • Results for candidates with pending verification or legal issues are on hold.
  • The passing mark for the FMGE is 50%.

Next Steps after Results:

  • Congratulations if you passed the FMGE! You are now eligible to register for medical practice in India.
  • The next steps include obtaining state registration and completing a one-year internship in a recognized hospital.
  • For those who didn’t pass, don’t lose heart! You can retake the exam in the next session.

  • The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to assess the eligibility of foreign medical graduates who wish to practice medicine in India.
  • Candidates who pass the FMGE become eligible to apply for provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council (SMC). They may also need to undergo additional procedures, such as completing an internship or fulfilling other requirements as mandated by the regulatory authorities.
  • Candidates who do not pass the FMGE have the option to retake the exam in subsequent sessions. They can reapply following the same registration process and appear for the exam to improve their scores.
